Having navigated the path of divorce herself, and now part of a blended family of five children, she brings a profound, firsthand empathy to her practice. She knows the grief and upheaval that often accompany these transitions, and she is committed to offering the clear, one-on-one support you need to move forward.

Risa’s approach to family law goes far beyond traditional litigation. Her career began advocating for victims of domestic violence in Queens County, and she has since litigated numerous complex cases across New York and New Jersey. To deepen her understanding of the family dynamics at the heart of her work, Risa studied at the Center for Modern Psychoanalysis in New York City. This unique combination of rigorous legal experience and psychological insight allows her to understand what truly matters to her clients—helping them avoid unnecessary conflict while fiercely protecting their interests when it counts.

Admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey, and before the United States Supreme Court, Risa is a former chair and board member of the Rockland County Bar Association's Young Attorney’s Committee. She also serves as a court-appointed Attorney for the Children in several New York counties, a role that informs her deeply child-centered perspective. A seasoned endurance athlete and Hudson Valley local, Risa brings the same dedication and stamina she applies to her personal pursuits to every case she takes on.
